3 Axis CNC Controllers…
Anyone who needs to use a small to medium sized workshop knows the value of a Mill and a Lathe. When you bring mills and lathes up to date by converting them to CNC (computerized numerical control) You bring the power of a computer into the workshop. Many jobs that were difficult, impossible, or just plain boringly routine become easy and virtually automatic when computerised. Backlash is no longer an issue, the computer compensates automatically.
Coast Electronics offers complete solutions. These solutions suit mechanical engineers because you normally would not even have to pick up a soldering iron in order to fit our units. We also offer flexibility...boards (pictured above) to drive powerful stepper motors either of the bipolar or unipolar type at up to 3 amps per axis. This approximates to about 100 watts of drive per axis. Both types of board offer stepped power options.....the motors consume less power when idle than when moving...meaning they don’t get so hot and can deliver their best performance when required.
